What is The Monday Club?

The Monday Club is a team of volunteers who come together at Launceston Rugby Club every Monday to give the place a bit of care and attention.

From a spot of painting, weeding, and cleaning, to general tidying up, our aim is to keep the club looking its best and ready for our members to enjoy whenever they next visit.

We welcome anyone who would like to join and support The Monday Club. We meet each Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Sessions will restart on Monday 18th and Monday 25th, leading up to the start of the season, and will then continue every Monday. Your help and involvement would be greatly appreciated.

A message regarding Saturday 9th August's clean up day from our outgoing president Susan Jamieson-

The Strimming group, led by Bob got a massive amount done, thank you also for bringing your own Strimmer's, We welcomed new member Heather (H). alongside Tim, Adrian, David, James & Jimmy , plus whoever trimmed the hedge around the Club sign on the road entrance? thanks!

The painting Group led by Jon also achieved a lot, We welcomed another new member Simon, alongside one of our new players , George Harris alongside Mike, Neil, Carol & Chae, who together left the Lanson Suite exterior ‘looking great, the Matchday entrance /exit Huts all retreated, the Shower Room, players Gents toilet, also got a coat of paint, and a start made on the wooden picnic tables and benches. Crispin was also busy erecting new advertising Boards around the grounds etc, and a thankless task at best, the all important weeding duty was enthusiastically! done by Mike !. Finally thanks to Geoff for collecting the pre-ordered hot Pasties from Warrens, and Jacky for supplying the ever popular flapjacks!
A good day all round
,
