The CABs newest recruit is Ben Humber, who's been on our radar for a few years now (along with several other clubs who were keen to secure his signature, once it was made aware that he wasn't continuing at Wadebridge) and who has now agreed to join the CABs and give it his all at Tier 5.
Ben has for the past few years been playing his rugby in Western Counties with Wadebridge Camels and last season helped them go undefeated in the the league season to secure promotion to South West 1. When we’ve watched him in the past we could see, very easily that he brings a real tough physicality to his game and is exactly the type of forward we are wanting to bring in and develop; super athlete, good line-out exponent and for us he runs hard with the ball and carries his weight in the tackle! We also know he’s the type of character that we know will fit in, after conversations with Julian Wilce (former CABs & Cornwall second row) and is willing to put the hours in to develop as a rugby player. From what we've seen already in training we can see that, quite easily, that Ben will add the tactical layers to his physical game and be a regular, packing down at 6 or 8, over the coming seasons and be a real Polson favourite!
