Letting the Facebook excitement slip it is now time to say what a truly wonderful evening we had to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Launceston Rugby Club. The photos are still on Facebook and we just want to say a huge thank you to all those involved in arranging this superb get together. It was extremely well attended. Our Mayor Helen Bailey said “It was a wonderful evening celebrating the club’s 75th Anniversary. The various age groups were represented at the event and fun was had by everyone. An opportunity to meet past and future stars of the Club.” Helen Bailey, Mayor of Launceston.
Susan Jamieson, President of the Club, also joined in the celebrations and said “ Fitting tribute to 75yrs! from the presentations to 3 Club legends, Les Baker, Bill Perry & Crispin Earle - Jimmy’s adaptation of “heads & tails” - perfect to mark milestones. - Congratulations all round to a fantastic evening.”
Everyone enjoyed the great company and the opportunity to “get scrubbed up” with black tie and posh frocks – and a certain, treasured Director danced the night away but, for once, not on the tables! Yes a brilliant night.
