Launceston RugbyClub will be holding another PSA Prostate Cancer testing session for men over 40 on Thursday 19th September from 6.30 to 8.30 pm in the Lanson Suite. No appointment is neccessary and just turn up.

The test is a small blood sample and results are usually within a week to 10 days depending on whether you opt for e-mail, phone or letter information.

We last held a session in April of this year and 206 men were tested, of which 197 were clear, 3 were "orange" with recommendation of further chercks at local GP, and 6 were "red" recommending immediate further action. I received an unsigned letter from one of the latter "reds" thanking us for the testing and saying he had no idea of his problem but that he has had it checked and appropriate action taken. I just hope that the other 5 reds and 3 oranges have also folled up their test result.

We do have another meeting taking place in the main clubhouse, plus normal thursday evening training so parking maybe at a premium so please follow any routing suggestions by club personnel.

The test are run by a volunatry organistion so donations are requested. Maybe suggest at least £10 and if the Gift Aid form is signed, this is upped to £12.50 by the goverment.

Refreshments will be available.

Come along and be tested. Its quick, get results soon and its peace of mind.
